Emirates: 777 – First Class Suite

Emirates: 777 – First Class Suite

I have gratefully flown in an Emirates First Class Suite, and it was lovely and delightful!

My first experience was on a flight from MLE to DXB (Maldives to Dubai.) I was the last to board, and I was the ONLY passenger in First on this flight!

As soon as I sat down, Flight Attendants, Eun and Pia came to take care of my arrival, offer me a hot beverage and introduce me to the suite.

I received a “tour” and what a tour it was! Firstly, there is no overhead storage. You have enough room in your suite to store your luggage. So there is no need to be concerned whether you can lift your luggage over your head, just tuck it away in front of your feet. And yes, you still have enough room for your feet and to sleep.

Yes, that is a Vanity Mirror! Ladies, do not fret, you can beautify yourself in the privacy of your suite before you land! Here’s what you receive tucked away below the mirror…

The Focus and Sleep “Sniff Boxes” were so lovely! They’re aromatherapy scents to help you stay awake or fall asleep! I kept those babies fo’ sho!

In the drawer on the right, there was a writing kit.

On the left, next to the window, was your own mini bar and ICE console.

Now for the food. I ordered ‘Braised Chicken with morels’ and for dessert, chocolate mousse cake. YUM! 🙂

This Suite was everything you’ve seen and read online. The double doors that close and allow you to be in your own private oasis were magical.

The Emirates First Class Suite is all that it’s hyped up to be!

DXB-FLL

On December 15th, 2016, Emirates started a new route from DXB-FLL and vice versa, so now I can travel directly to my beloved Dubai within one day! I had my chance to test out the 16.30-hour flight in January 2017 and sat in 1E – middle private suite (no window.)

As soon as I sat down, the flight attendants brought us pyjamas, and before we took off, I changed into these very comfortable and warm jammies.

These were special "Hydra Active" pyjamas - the world's first moisturizing sleepwear - designed to prevent skin dehydration during flight!

Everything in this Private Suite was the same as my other flights, except there was no window. I prefer a window. However, I booked at the last minute, so I was grateful just to have a First Class seat for this long-haul!

Since this was a night flight, with departure at 3:30a, the cabin lights were dark the entire trip, giving passengers the opportunity to sleep as long as possible! A nice touch was the star-like lit ceiling.

The menu choices were varied – with options for Breakfast, Canapés, Dessert, Light Bites, Pastries and a Cheese Plate. And as always, the food was plated nicely and tasted fresh!

Breakfast - Spinach and feta omelette with baked beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, and potatoes with chives.

When I woke, I had Dessert - Almond and Apricot financier - served with apricot compote and vanilla sauce. (It was yummy!)

I don't like wine, just cheese.

Before we landed, this was the best shot I could get on the in-flight display, since I had no window!

I love those warm turquoise waters!

Surprisingly, at the end of a very long-haul flight (my longest to date) I was not eager to get off the plane. This could very well be because I was no longer in Dubai, and the Emirates product and service is the best of any carrier I have thus experienced. So, I will gladly and happily look forward to flying with them again soon!

Until next time, thanks for reading and Happy Travels!
