Hotel Review: Belmond Miraflores Park

Hotel Review: Belmond Miraflores Park

Ah…Peru. Oy, Lima. Lima is a crazy bustling city, with lots of action, traffic, and noise. However, come to Belmond Miraflores Park and you have an opportunity to get away from it all and still be close enough to the action. Plus, the views are stellar!

I stayed here twice on my trip to Peru. Once when I first arrived, and then again before I departed. And, I would stay again in a heartbeat!

This was also my first introduction to Belmond Hotels, and I was thoroughly impressed by the decor, the location (beautiful), the rooms, the staff and the food.

I visited Peru for my first time in September, so still a little cool, and not quite summer either. Typically in Lima there is lots of fog, and when I landed it looked like a gloomy day, but the fog lifted while I was there and I had beautiful weather!

Thankfully, I reserved an Ocean view room, despite the reviews about the fog. And I saw the ocean just fine. Had beautiful sunsets too.

Walking around Miraflores on a beautiful day!
The hotel is cliff-side to the ocean and next to a park (hence Miraflores Park) and is in a beautiful area to walk around.

Larcomar Mall is a short stroll, with an abundance of restaurants and shops that overlook the ocean. A great place for pictures! Check out Tanta and Mangos!

I also dined at Tragaluz, on the ground floor, and it was superb!

The food was outstanding! (My mouth is watering just looking at these photos!)

I stayed at Miraflores Park for a total of 5 nights – at the beginning of my Peru trip for 4 nights and then again for one night at the end. I was happy to return to this hotel for my last night in Peru.

I had a few treatments in the Spa too! As a note, the Spa is small. It is only a few treatment rooms and a dry sauna.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. And, if you have a room on the Club floor, definitely take advantage of the Executive lounge as it has great views and excellent food selection throughout the day.

Util next time, thanks for reading, and Happy Travels!
