There are some hotels that deserve a six-star rating, and this is one of them. I had the pleasure of staying at Rosewood Mayakoba after an incredible journey through Europe, and as a pit-stop on my way back to Kaua’i. (Where I lived at the time.)
Service, Detail, and Luxury are the top three words I’d use to describe this place.
Service
The service was outstanding, and almost in a category of its own. The staff will do anything, and provide anything you need to assure you receive the most comfortable and pleasing stay.
For example, on two occasions I requested the Aloe Vera juice at breakfast, which was provided by the Spa, and someone went to the spa to pick it up and bring it to me. Also, I loved it so much; they placed a full carafe in my suite’s mini-fridge! Also, I was a little sick when I first arrived, and they were so concerned with my health, I was brought chicken broth, fresh coconut water, and electrolyte drinks, for free!
Detail
Their attention to detail was meticulous. Everything had its place in the suite. Slippers were replenished daily, and my belongings were always organized. The Suite smelled wonderfully pleasing every night after turn down service. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the varied restaurants each offered something delicious.
Luxury
I treated myself to an Oceanview Suite, and it was exactly what I needed. The Suite itself was a dream come true. There were incredible views, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a plunge pool that was just the right temperature, and amazing birds perched all around. I was truly in heaven!
Spa
Do not miss this! I took full advantage of The Spa and had several services! Jezebel, in particular, was my Spa Therapist, and I loved her treatments so much, I asked for her twice and then extended my time on top of that!
Energetically, Rosewood Mayakoba is calm, nurturing, healing, and blissful. The way the hotel is spread out, nature is at your doorstep at every turn. You can take a buggy or bicycle ride, or even a boat to explore all that this resort has to offer! And I highly recommend you do all three!
It’s been two years since I stayed at Rosewood Mayakoba, but I think about it all the time. It ranks as one of my most memorable stays and has a special place in my heart.
Until next time, thanks for reading and Happy Travels!
